Kathy is a founding partner of ORI and is responsible for the strategic objectives and mission of the company. ORI specializes in the management of large scale, data-intensive projects, custom research studies, and decision-support analysis for government agencies as well as commercial firms. Kathy sees opportunities in every challenge and inspires the ORI team to find solutions and deliver excellence. As a result, ORI has been named to Inc. magazine's Inc. 5,000 list for 2009.

She has been an ardent supporter and early advocate of a healthy work-life balance. Kathy has put these beliefs into practice at ORI by instituting flexible work arrangements, generous company benefits and telecommuting options for employees. As a result, ORI was named one of Working Mother magazine's 25 Best Woman-Owned Businesses for 2008. Additionally, Kathy received Washington SmartCEO magazine's Bravo! Women Business Achievement Award.

Kathy is active in numerous professional and civic organizations including Vistage, Women Presidents' Organization, The American Small Business Coalition, and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. She is a long-time volunteer with various organizations and supports several charities that are important to the employees of the company. She and her husband Shawn have two children, Travis (22) and McCaul (19).
